Colorado Theater Shooting

The Colorado Theater Shooting has been such a devastating tragedy. People are possessed by something evil to commit such an act. Jeremiah 14:10 NLT
So this is what the LORD says to his people: “You love to wander far from me and do not restrain yourselves. Therefore, I will no longer accept you as my people. Now I will remember all your wickedness and will punish you for your sins.” It saddens me that people like this have strayed so far away from the Lord. Thoughts and Prayers go out to the families affected by this incident. Also, I pray that the shooter, James Holmes 24, repents, and is saved before he dies. Love all men, like Jesus has loved you. This man made a terrible choice, and will have to answer to God on his judgement day. It is not for us to judge, but we all are obviously outraged at this mans actions. He will pay for what he has done, here on earth, and by God.

Jonathan Blunk
Jonathan Blunk, 26, served five years in the U.S. Navy, including service aboard a vessel in San Diego. He was supposed to fly Saturday to Reno, Nevada, to see his wife Chantel, his 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son. The couple married in 2007 and separated in 2010, she said. The pair remained on good terms after Jonathan moved to Colorado. Blunk died shielding his girlfriend from the gunfire inside the theater. Chantel Blunk said she will remember Jonathan's humor, spontaneity and attention to family. 'We love him and he is going to be remembered as a hero,' she said.

A.J. Boik
Boik was an independent distributor for Organo Gold, a coffee company, and lived in Aurora, Colorado, according to what appears to be Boik's personal Facebook page. James Crofter, father of Jordan Crofter, Boik's friend who survived the shooting, said Jordan and Boik played lacrosse together and both went to Gateway High School. Boik's girlfriend had also been at the movie, and reunited with Jordan outside the theater. Boik is remembered in a Facebook memorial page. "We're all grieving right now about A.J.'s death," Crofter said.

Jesse Childress
Jesse Childress, an Air Force reservist, was a cybersystems operator on active duty with the 310th Force Support Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado. He was from Thornton, Colorado. "Jesse was an invaluable part of the 310th family," said Lt. Col. Pat Walsh. "He literally touched everyone in the wing -- over 1,000 people." Three of Childress' Air Force colleagues traveled from Buckley to honor Childress at a memorial near the theater, The Denver Post reported. "He was a huge part of our unit, and this is a terrible loss. The person that did this was an incredible coward," said Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Schwald, according to the Post. She declined to give her first name. Childress was 29.

Gordon Cowden
Gordon Cowden took his two teenage children to the theater. His children escaped unharmed, according to California's Ventura County Star. A family spokesman described Cowden as a "loving father, outdoorsman and small business owner," according to the Star. "Cowden was a true Texas gentleman that loved life and his family. A quick-witted world traveler with a keen sense of humor, he will be remembered for his devotion to his children and for always trying his best to do the right thing, no matter the obstacle." He was 51.

Jessica Ghawi
Ghawi was an aspiring sports journalist who also went by the name Jessica Redfield. She grew up in Texas and interned at Ticket 760 sports in San Antonio before moving to Denver to try to break into the television market there. In June, she narrowly escaped a mass shooting at a Toronto shopping mall. She blogged about it on June 5 writing: "This empty, almost sickening feeling won't go away. I noticed this feeling when I was in the Eaton Center in Toronto just seconds before someone opened fire in the food court. An odd feeling which led me to go outside and unknowingly out of harm's way. It's hard for me to wrap my mind around how a weird feeling saved me from being in the middle of a deadly shooting." Ghawi was 24.

John Thomas Larimer
Larimer came from a military family; both his father and grandfather served in the U.S. Navy. Larimer himself was a Navy petty officer, third class, officials said. He was from Crystal Lake, Illinois. His unit belongs to U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. Tenth Fleet at Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado. He had served in the Navy about a year and was attached to a cryptology (information operations) unit. He had not seen combat, his father said. The Navy is preparing to render full military honors to Larimer. He was 27.

Matt McQuinn
McQuinn died trying to provide cover for his girlfriend Samantha Yowler, according to family attorney Robert. L. Scott. Yowler and her brother Nick, who was also trying to protect her from the bullets, both survived. McQuinn and Samantha Yowler grew up in the Miami Valley region of Ohio, according to CNN affiliate WKEF. The two had been dating for a couple of years. McQuinn grew up in Springfield, Ohio, where he graduated from Vandalia-Butler High School in 2004. They met at the Springfield Target store and moved to Denver last November, Dayton Daily News reported. McQuinn was 27.

Micayla Medek
Medek, known as Cayla to her friends, was "very spiritual and close to God," her second-cousin Anita Busch told CNN. Her family is tight-knit, Busch said. Medek's Facebook page describes her as a "sandwich artist/closer" at Subway in Aurora, and a student of general studies at the Community College of Aurora with plans to graduate in 2015. She lived in Westminster, Colorado, but was from Aurora, Busch said. "I'm a simple independant [sic] girl who's just trying to get her life together while still having fun," she wrote on her Facebook page. She was 23.

Veronica Moser-Sullivan
Described as a "vibrant little girl," Veronica, 6, had just learned to swim and was "excited about life," her great-aunt said. The girl's mother was critically injured at the movie theater, with wounds to the neck and abdomen, said Annie Dalton. "All she is asking about is her daughter." "Her whole life has changed in a flash, for what? She still doesn't know her daughter is gone. Now our priority is to make sure that she survives this," Dalton said of Ashley Moser, 25. Ashley Moser has just gotten into a licensed practical nurse program, Dalton told reporters. "Obviously, with this injury she not going to be able to start school like she planned. It's a dramatic change in everything." Veronica was an only child.

Alex Sullivan
Sullivan was excited that "The Dark Knight Rises" would open on his birthday. "Oh man one hour till the movie and its going to be the best BIRTHDAY ever," he tweeted. His uncle Jim Loewenguth characterized Sullivan as a smart and funny man who "never had a bad chip on his shoulder." This week he was about to celebrate his first wedding anniversary with his wife, Cassie. He died on his 27th birthday.

Alex Teves
Teves, 24, recently graduated from the University of Denver with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. "The University extends its deepest condolences to his family and friends, including the many current students and faculty who knew and worked with Alex," the school said in a statement.

Teves died protecting his girlfriend, Amanda Lindgren. "I wouldn't be here without him," Lindgren told CNN Monday.

His aunt, Barbara Sliviske said Alex was living in Colorado, and had just completed graduate school there in June. His parents are currently in Colorado, retrieving the body, according to Sliviske, who added "he was a wonderful nephew."

Rebecca Wingo
Rebecca Wingo, 32, was originally from Quinlan, Texas, and lived in Aurora, Colorado. Her father, Steve Hernandez, announced his daughter's death on Facebook, saying, "I lost my daughter yesterday to a mad man, my grief right now is inconsolable."

Wingo joined the Air Force after high school, became fluent in Mandarin Chinese and served as a translator, according to CNN Dallas-Fort Worth affiliate WFAA.

She had "the sweetest smile you've ever seen," said friend Hal Wallace. "She got prettier as she grew older."

God bless all of these individuals who were injured as a result of this unthinkable act of violence. Prayers go out to you all as well.
