Gratitude

We all take things for granted. We go through our day to day lives not realizing the many blessing, and miracles that surround us, or that are in our lives. Remember it can all be taken in a moment. God doesn't promise us another day. So worry about today's troubles, because you never know, tomorrow's may never come. You have to be grateful for all the blessings you have. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. (Colossians 3:16 NIV.)  All things good come from the Lord. You must be willing to see what you have, and to be thankful to God that you have it. As simple as a pair of shoes is something to be grateful for. Food, clothing, a job. The list could go on and on. If you feel like you have been lacking in this area, try making a Gratitude List. List any, and everything that you are grateful for, and then praise God for blessing you with those things, or people in your life. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.(1Chronicles 16:34 NIV) No one could ever love you more than God. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) If you have ever taken a breath, you know what it is like to be frustrated with something, or someone. If you immediately pray about what is concerning you. God will give you peace. I have experience this in many situations. The last verse says "PRAY CONTINUALLY." Don't pray just when you have an issue though, praise God for all that he has done for you, "give thanks in all circumstances." Every moment is a learning experience for us all. In these lessons we figure out who we are, and who God wants us to be. Strive for greatness in the eyes of God, he is the only way to happiness. He is Glorious! So the next time you are mad, or unsatisfied, think of what your grateful for. It will humble you.
